The pretty salmon color of this wine sets the tone for an extremely pleasant, and pleasantly different experience of drinking rose. Generally more of a sipper than a pairing wine, this Chiaretto nonetheless can handle its share of light, summer chores: cold fried chicken, pasta salad. Sipping reveals a beguiling wine: Peach and plum, background red berry notes, and a wonderful, slightly smoky tea note on the finish. So satisfying.
